What makes you, as a Healthy Living and Empowerment Coach, different from “health coaches”?

 

I believe God wants you, His daughter, to find freedom and joy in your health. I believe living healthy can be simple and fun and ultimately allow you to deepen your relationship with God and walk more fully in His purposes for you.

Although I will touch upon time management, nutrition, fitness, and other “coach-y” things, you have access to me as an online coach and spiritual encourager through the entire program. I work with you on the inner and outer principles of a healthy lifestyle and look at everything from a spiritual perspective. What that means to you is that you get an authentic coach who will also help you see how your healthy choices are an extension of your spiritual life. 

 

I am passionate about growing in deeper relationship with Jesus and encouraging other moms, like you, towards Him as you pursue confidence, freedom, and joy in your health. At the same time, I am always advocating for a super practical, get-er-done mindset to help you get past sticking points on your health journey.  Because I know you already live a busy life, I don’t tiptoe or fuss with too many pleasantries that fill empty space. You’ll always get a straight to the point quick and honest response from me.

You may not like what I have to tell you all the time – but you can be sure I will always tell you the truth in love. These truths are the keys to your success and I can guide you to them so you can start seeing changes in record time and begin living healthy and empowered.

What type of personality do you work best with and what is expected of me?

 

The 12 Weeks to Joyful Health program was created for people who are absolutely excited and dead serious about learning to live healthy despite anything that might stand in their way. This means not running around all day long, beating yourself up anymore saying: “why am I even doing this, it won’t stick anyways.” It was created for you to put systems in place within a few months (sometimes weeks!), which will eventually lead you to feel confident as you pursue a healthier life with joy and purpose.

 

Being a Christian mom myself, I'm known to work best with other Christian moms who are committed to their success no matter what, who are super-ready to get going and just want to know exactly what steps to take to live with more energy, more joy, more strength, and grow deeper in their relationship with God along the way. Our clients often say to us– “just tell me what to do and I’ll do it!” Consider what you’ll do with us to be a high-octane crash course on everything you need to know to more efficiently and joyfully use your time to meet your health goals and develop habits that will last a lifetime. You will be expected to take serious and consistent action. No excuses anymore, just a very different way of thinking and full support while you achieve this incredibly exciting goal: living in confidence around healthy habit choices that honor God so you can focus your time and energy where you truly want. 

 

Please know I'm very selective in who I work with. I sometimes choose to (gently) turn away people who aren’t suited for my programs and won’t get the results for which they would have signed up for. (It wouldn’t be fair to them.) The 12 Weeks to Joyful Health  program  is NOT for those who want instant results or are looking for an “easy button.”  It’s been my experience that people who want instant results are not ready to trust the recommendations I give them and do not do the work that’s really needed to develop healthy habits that will last. If you fall within this category, it’s absolutely OK. We’ve all been in a place where we try anything to get results fast. Do yourself (3) favors:

 

  1. Begin by researching and setting some long-term goals for yourself. Once you have those, you can start thinking about all that you would need to do to reach your goals. When you have gained some clarity on what your ideal healthy lifestyle looks like then call us. This will de-clutter your mind enough to focus on your 12 Weeks to Joyful Health assignments and the BIG picture.

  2. Make a point to join in and participate in our Facebook group, “Joyful Health for Christian Moms.” There, we provide weekly tips and that information will give you LOTS to think about and even start applying to your life.

  3. Give yourself a jumpstart by downloading some of our free resources such as “5 Ways Christian Moms Can Live Healthy.” These will provide some valuable and practical tips for your journey.

 

Doing these three things will really help you get primed for our work. When you’re ready, call me and we’ll get you started. (I'm in no rush and will be here when you need me.)

 

Other types of personalities I won’t work with (without exception) are the whiner or the chronic skeptic, as well as individuals who constantly make excuses for not getting their assignments done or challenging every aspect of the program. If you are one of these people, I gently and respectfully ask that you not call and I hope you understand why. We’ll probably just not work well together and I wouldn’t want you to waste your time or money. Is that fair?

The 12 Weeks to Joyful Health program is designed to empower you to find freedom and joy around healthy habit choices that honor God so you can focus your time and energy where you truly want.  

 

Here’s my Simple 3-Step Framework:

 

Step #1) Lay the Foundation

The first step is to get clarity on how your habits are built and what your current schedules and priorities look like, then see where small changes need to happen. You’ll be learning techniques for breaking through your inner resistance, self doubt, fear, anxiety and all of that “stuff” that holds you back. You’ll be held accountable while practicing a proven way to build habits that will last a lifetime

Step #2) Find your Why

Here you’ll define what your ideal healthy lifestyle looks like. You’ll vividly imagine living that lifestyle and all the other areas of your life it will positively influence. We'll dive deeper into your motivations for why you desire this ideal healthy lifestyle and begin planning how we can go about making that a reality in a way that aligns with what the Lord is calling you to. 

Step #3) Build your Habits

Lastly, we'll put plan into action and begin implementing the day-to-day habits that will give you the results you want. Throughout this process you will have the accountability and support you need to keep moving forward and overcoming any roadblocks you might hit along the way so you can freely, confidently and joyfully pursue health in a way that honors the Lord.

As I mentioned above, we don't do quick fixes or easy buttons. I help you build the strong foundation that you can continue building on for a lifetime.
